Future Disco & Corsica Studios present DFA
Corsica Studios
To celebrate their 10th birthday, Corsica Studios are curating 10 events which they feel represent the club's eclectic musical tastes.
They've gone straight for the jugular to start things off, inviting FutureDisco and DFA Records down to celebrate with a line-up worthy of such a first-rate club: DFA founder James Murphy joins Hot Chip vs the 2 Bears, Pat Mahoney, The Juan Maclean and Sean Brosnan. This should be brilliant.
Saturday 1st September
One Bad Habit w/ Robert Owens
The Book Club
One Bad Habit roll up once again to The Book Club with another top draw booking, this time in the form of house music legend Robert Owens, who plays a special disco set.
If you’ve not seen Robert Owens perform before then quite frankly you should. The man is the eternal showman, exuding an electricity and presence unlike any other DJ I've seen.
Saturday 1st September
Eddie Fowlkes
The Bussey Building
Detroit technosoul pioneer Eddie 'Flashin' Fowlkes drops into The Bussey for a rare all night session alongside a serious line up of Tech House DJs.
A player in the Detroit techno scene since its inception, Fowlkes' career has gone somewhat under the radar in comparison to the 'big three' of that scene. His influence can't be underestimated however, and his experience and skills as a DJ should definitely make this one worth going to.
