Clubbing editor Tom Armstrong picks his top three parties this weekend.

Saturday 28th July

Afro Acid meets The Pioneers of House Music @ The Coronet

This should be awesome.

Three original innovators of house unite to bring the old school back to London. The importance of DJ Pierre, Marshall Jefferson and Steve 'Silk Hurley' can't be underestimated, the chance to see all three perform in one night should most definitely be taken with both hands.

Saturday 28th July
Ecstasy, Passion & Pain w/ Mylo, The Magician and Mighty Mouse @ XOYO

Mylo continues his electro disco extravaganza, this time bringing back the man who played their first ever party: The Magician.

Also joining the Aeroplane producer is disco outfit Mighty Mouse and The Penelopes playing live. This is the day after the Olympic opening ceremony - but don't be fooled by the poster - it has nothing to do with the Olympics.

Saturday 28th July
East Village and Nice present Mark Farina @ East Village

East Village make their stance on commercial 'EDM' club culture known by inviting Mark Farina to play a three hour set at the Shoreditch club.

The influential Chicago/San Fran DJ was recently kicked off the decks in Vegas due to music complaints from big spending VIPs. Is that really what club culture is about? Of course it isn't, so get out and show Mark how we do things in London.
