Tom Armstrong picks his top three coolest, quirkiest and downright awesomest events from the week ahead.

Wednesday 25th January
Glam Rock Murder Mystery @ The Amersham Arms

The lead singer of Glittermoon has been killed, apparently, and it's up to you to get to the bottom of it, so throw some glitter on your deerstalker and get down to this glam rock murder mystery night at The Amersham Arms. Roam the venue, mingle with the suspects and ask them questions, all to the soundtrack provided by Flamingo Drive (great name for a band).

Sunday 28th January
Pop – Up Vintage Fair @ Islington Assembly Hall

You know the drill by now: vintage clothing, accessories, homeware, vintage posters, jewellery, furniture - the works. And don't forget the tea rooms - I think I'd flat out refuse to attend a vintage market if I couldn't indulge in a bit of floral crockery afterwards.

Sunday 29th January
Chinese New Year celebrations @ Trafalgar Square

Welcome in the year of the dragon (that's got to be the coolest one, better than the year of the sheep anyway) in Trafalgar Sqaure this Sunday. Even Boris is getting in on the act, helping Chinatown president Stanley Tse kick off celebrations which will include a parade, music and acrobatics. You'll be wowed, we promise.
