One of the UK's finest beatboxing talents, MC Xander, is dropping his debut album soon. Tomas Olesen is excited, you should be too.

The world of beatboxing can sometimes seem a little nerdy and closed off from the rest of hip hop, let alone music in general. But a new generation of mouth-percussionists has embraced modern technology, most significantly the loop pedal, to bring a whole new dimension of musicality and depth of performance to their art. As one of the leading lights of this movement, MC Xander's debut album is an exciting prospect. Having been lucky enough to give it a listen I can tell you it doesn't disappoint, and in fact sets a new benchmark for this rapidly evolving art form.
Check out the videos below for a taster of what's in store for you at the launch party at Vibe where you'll be able to see and hear the album at its best, performed live.
