Secret Garden Party - Lost Lovers Ball

Valentine's usually throws up some truly terrible events, Secret Garden Party are looking to buck that trend.

After months of negotiations Spoonfed's favourite festival types have secured the '30s masterpiece of architecture that is the Battersea Power Station as a venue for their midwinter extravaganza. For 3 days in February, on the 10th, 11th & 12th, one of London’s best loved buildings will be transformed in to a thousand person ballroom Secret Garden Party style, which is a very good style indeed. For each of the three nights they'll be drafting in some of the best loved of the SGP performers, including Bearded Kitten and Tax Deductible, as well as some of the best of the talking and debating stages, people like Guerilla Science and The Forum.

If you're quick you may be able to book one of the limited spaces for a delicious 3 course pre-party meal in the power station too. Tables are available for 2 to 10 people but they may be able to accommodate larger groups if you drop them a line at info@secretgardenparty.com. If you're feeling particularly swanky private tables are also available, giving you and yours the best view of the stage in a private area with table service and a complimentary bottle of Champagne.

As it's just before Valentine's Day the theme had be one of love. The very architecture of love will be explored in a way only SGP can. Dressing up is always a good idea for SGP events, as is bringing some kind of swimwear! This comes highly recommended, grab a ticket early as they will sell out pretty fast. Go to www.secretgardenparty.com to secure yourself tickets to an extremely good way to kick off 2011.
