Is it 'cos I is a rapper?
UK Immigration must love turning our American rapper friends away at the gate, it happens quite a lot. Admittedly some of them have serious criminal records, or at least quite seriously rap about their criminal records, or at worst make seriously criminal records, but they seem like pretty unlikely candidates for illegal immigration. You just can't get the calibre of bitches, bling, and cough syrup they're used to over here.
Underground rap don Termanology is the latest no show as a result of a run in with the man. Apparently he and DJ Deadeye were held for 5 hours before it was decided to deny them entry into the UK and pack them off on the first flight back to Switzerland. The reason why is not clear but one can quite easily imagine it being the combined result of extremely baggy clothing and acerbic gobbyness. Surely nobody would be stupid enough to try and bring either of the two mainstays of rapper arrests, guns and drugs, into Heathrow. Although if Grooverider was dumb enough to take weed and porn to Dubai anything is possible.
The net result is that Termanology will not make either of his UK dates, Leeds last night and London's Rhythm Factory tonight. Promoters KingUnderground.com are offering anyone who has purchased a ticket a full refund via www.wegottickets.com.
