Turning Point Festival

Tomas Olesen recommends Turning Point Festival to round off your Summer...don't worry it's indoors!

Masterminded entirely by a creative team all aged under 25, the Turning Point Festival is part of the Roundhouse's commitment to empowering young people and nurturing new talent. But what that ultimately means to us, Joe Public, is a three-day extravaganza of music, dance, comedy, theatre, cabaret, and circus performance. The festival runs from September 17th-19th and includes some 300 artists over five stages.

They’ve compiled a line-up that would be good at any festival, let alone one housed in a single venue in Camden. Big names include Ms. Dynamite, Roll Deep, Rob Da Bank, Toddla T, and battle rapper turned friend of Lily Allen – Professor Green. Highlights outside the charts include The Illersapiens, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, The Puppet Masters, and P-Money.

Friday is an over 16s event and runs until 1am, Saturday and Sunday are all ages and run until 11pm. With a three-day pass only costing £28 this looks like being a grand way to finish off what has been something of a vintage year for UK festivals. This comes highly recommended.
